Raimund Orfeo Voigt
Raimund Orfeo Voigt studied scenography in the master class of Prof. Erich Wonder at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, which he completed with distinction, and for several years he assisted Erich Wonder and Robert Wilson. In 2011/ he was an assistant lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. For the stage design of "Verbrennungen" (R: Anna Badora) he was nominated for the Nestroypreis 2010 in the category Best Newcomer. In 2019 he received the Nestroyprize in the category "Best Design" for "Der einsame Weg" by Arthur Schnitzler, Theater in der Josefstadt and for "Sommergäste" by Maxim Gorki, Salzburger Festspiele. In 2020 he was nominated "Designer of the Year" at the International Opera Awards. Voigt created stage sets for Anna Badora, Andrea Breth, Jan Philipp Gloger, Matthias Hartmann, Mateja Koležnik, Tilman Hecker, Alexandra Liedtke, Christof Loy, Christiane Pohle, Árpád Schilling and Marco Štorman, among others. He has worked at various theater and opera houses including Berliner Ensemble, Theater Basel, Schauspiel Düsseldorf, Oper Frankfurt, Schauspiel Leipzig, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Residenztheater München, Bayrische Staatsoper München, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Burgtheater Wien, Theater in der Josefstadt, Wiener Staatsoper, Salzburger Festspiele, Schauspielhaus Graz, Grand Théatre de Genève, Teatro alla Scala Milano, Kungliga Operan Stockholm, Teatro Real Madrid and De Nationale Opera Amsterdam. Mateja Koležnik has created stage designs for productions such as "The Hangman" at the Burgtheater/Akademietheater, "Nothing of mine" at the Berliner Ensemble, "Yerma" at the Theater Basel, "Ein Volksfeind", "Tartuffe", "Nora", "Oedipus" at the Residenztheater Munich. With Andrea Breth "Marija" at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, "Blaue Spiegel" and "Drei mal Leben" at the Berliner Ensemble. Further works for Anna Badora, Annette Raffalt, Christiane Pohle and were created at the Vienna Burgtheater, Schauspielhaus Graz, Berliner Ensemble, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Residenztheater Munich, Staatstheater Mainz, Schauspiel Leipzig as well as at the Salzburg Festival and the Munich Opera Festival. His most recent opera works include "Capriccio" at the Teatro Real Madrid and "Eugene Onegin" at the Oslo Opera with Christof Loy, "Lohengrin" at the Stuttgart State Opera with Árpád Schilling, "Samson et Dalila" at the Vienna State Opera with Alexandra Liedtke, "A Florentine Tragedy / Gianni Schicchi" at the National Opera Amsterdam with Jan Philipp Gloger, "Der Freischütz" at La Scala in Milan and "La Bohème" and "Fidelio" at the Grand Théâtre de Genève with Matthias Hartmann as well as "Parsifal" at the Theater Bremen with Marco Štorman.
Sein Bühnenbild für „Verbrennungen“ am Schauspielhaus Graz wurde in der Kategorie „Bester Nachwuchs“ mit dem Nestroy nominiert.
