If I say I exist - doesn't that determine my existence? Can I exist if it is only me? If I am the only being that is like me, that looks like me?
In an atmospheric collage, the performance "Yetiland" explores questions of identity, belonging and the connection of stories that we tell (ourselves) in order to understand the world and its mysteries. What happens to a creature uncertain of its own existence?
On the journey to finding the Yeti, we follow a wanderer searching for yetiland and the weave of characters they meet along their way.
Yetiland is a research-based project developed in September 2024 at Theatre Bastionen in Malmö by WORX-director Lucia Wunsch, Emilia Bongilaj, Bendrik Grossterlinden and Paula Sundberg.
