Scott is an average guy: He teaches literature at a trade school, is married with two children and always tries to do the right thing. But what exactly is the "right" thing? Is it to always be authentic? To always follow conventions? If everyone is in charge of their own happiness – there is really only one thing you really need: confidence. But what if you still don’t seem to have what it takes? Trying to find out who he really is in a society that blindly follows the American Dream, even though everyone suspects that it is a lie, Scott keeps reaching his own limits and those of others. Sarah is an ode to life on the edge of the abyss, the story of a marriage that is ending and the attempt to find common ground in a world of individuals.
