Simon Klösener

Simon Klösener studied theater education at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in Lingen/Ems. During his studies, which he completed with distinction, he directed Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Judge and His Executioner" by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, among others.For his final production, he directs Björn Bicker's "Urban Prayers," which premieres as part of Theater Osnabrück's NATHAN urban project. From 2018-2020 he was permanently engaged at the Schlosstheater Celle, directing among others "Kiwi on the rocks" (Daniel Ratthei) and "Die große Erzählung" (Bruno Stori).  Since 2020, he has been an assistant director at the Berliner Ensemble, assisting directors such as Ersan Mondtag, Antú Romero Nunes, Oliver Reese, Christina Tscharyiski and Kay Voges. In the 2021/22 season, he will direct for the first time at the Berliner Ensemble "Neue ungehaltene Reden ungehaltener Frauen".
