How do you spend your nights? Do you get enough sleep? What do you dream of? The night has always been a site of dreams, of the invisible, of dark fantasies and desires. In our structured day-to-day lifes it offers an escape from the constant pressures to be productive. But even the night serves to fulfill it’s role in work culture by reviving the work force. And those who work during the night to keep our society running often work hardest most of all. In this six hour journey through the night Norwegian director Heiki Riipinen and his team, together with the audience, shine a light on the the myths and visions of this other, obscure side of our lifes. Who owns he night? And who do our dreams belong to?
HEIKI RIIPINEN (Norway, Finland) is a director, actor, drag queen, curator and educator. He develops his performances in collaborative processes that also involve the audience. His work deals with themes of power, norms, gender and sexuality.
